The Louis Vuitton x Nike Air force 1 will launch via Auction

first unveiled late last year, sneakerheads and luxury fashion fans alike have been drooling over the Louis Vuitton x Nike Air force 1 “Brown” that was designed by the late and great Virgil Abloh. Showcasing a luxury take on the 1982 classic Swoosh silhouette, this could possibly be one of the most-hyped Nike collaborations to date. It’s now been revealed that just 200 of the sneakers will be made in this colourway, with all pairs set to be auctioned off by the legendary auction house Sotheby’s, with all proceeds made from the sale going to the late designer’s scholarship fund for black fashion students.

Louis Vuitton is set to present Virgil’s AW22 collection this coming week as part of Milan fashion week, as the collection was said to be 95% completed at the time of his passing. The auction for the AF1s will run online from the 26th January through to the 8th February, with pairs available from sizes UK5 through to UK15, with a starting bid of $2000. Each pair will also come complete with a classic LV monogram shoe box, with 3D leather Nike Swoosh tags included. After the auction a wider launch of the capsule is anticipated, although as of yet we have no further details regarding this.
