Buckle Up For The White Mountaineering x adidas LXCON

Yosuke Aizawa is no stranger when it comes to adidas collaborations. since 2014, the Japanese designer has been reworking some of the three Stripes’ most iconic silhouettes, and now, it looks like he’s about to do the same for the avant-garde adidas LXCON.

Spotted on the runways of Paris fashion Week, the White Mountaineering x adidas LXCON is available in two distinct colourways, including a distinctive navy version and a unique orange edition. Both models feature “WHITE MOUNTAINEERING”; text throughout, but strangely enough, it looks like they’ve misspelled their own brand along the lateral heel. Whether this was intentional or simply a typo remains to be seen.

Swapping out the usual mesh construction for a more premium selection of materials, the conventional lacing system has been replaced with a series of buckles for an outdoorsy vibe that’s become synonymous with the Tokyo based imprint.

As these sneakers were showing during their spring summer 2020 showcase, it’s safe to assume the White Mountaineering x adidas LXCON won’t hit shelves until this time next year. let us know which colourway you’d cop, and while you’re here, be sure to take a look at the full adidas sneaker range!
